Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a security feature that adds another layer of protection by requiring an app on your phone to verify your login. This helps to prevent a third party from using your login credentials from accessing your Xero account. Once setup on your phone, you may need to reset it if you lose your old phone or get a new phone.
1. Resetting MFA if you still have your old Phone:
Have both of your phones ready, on your old phone open the Xero verify app. On your new phone navigate to the app store and install the Xero Verify app.
Step 1: Open Xero on your computer and log in with your credentials.
Step 2: Navigate to your account settings by clicking on your profile picture or initials in the top right corner, then select “Account.”
Step 3: Under the “Additional Security” tab, find the “Multi-Factor Authentication” section.
